The publication of OPEN Questions, OPEN’s latest monograph, was celebrated this week at a book launch held at Tsinghua University. Published by Urban Environment Design (UED), this extensive survey of OPEN’s work covers some of OPEN’s representative projects across different types and scales, including the acclaimed Garden School (Beijing No. 4 High School Fangshan Campus); newly completed projects such as the UCCA Dune Art Museum; and even projects still under construction, like the Chapel of Sound. In addition to architectural works, the monograph also highlights major competition designs and art installations completed by OPEN over the past decade. Structured around a series of open-ended questions, the monograph provides a fresh perspective on the possibilities of architecture through examining the innovative work of OPEN.
