OPEN’s founding partner Li Hu is one of the 10 international architects elevated to Honorary AIA Fellows this year, as announced by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) on February 13, 2025.

“The AIA Honorary Fellowship program recognizes international architects for their exceptional work and contributions to architecture and society on an international level. Recipients of Honorary Fellowship are elevated to the College of Fellows.”

The Investiture Ceremony will be held at the AIA Conference on Architecture & Design (AIA25) in Boston on June 5, 2025. 

Créateurs Design Awards 2025 winners were announced at a special ceremony in Paris on January 18th, 2025. OPEN’s Sun Tower stood out among the five finalists in the " Best Commercial and Cultural Project in Architecture" category and won the grand prize. This year’s Créateurs Design Awards recipients include Lord Norman Foster and SANAA’s Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa.

The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York featured OPEN's UCCA Dune Art Museum as part of its permanent collection exhibition, Down to Earth. In 2020, twenty pieces of the Dune’s artwork were collected by MoMA, including the physical model, sketches, photographs, drawings, and a documentary. These works collectively capture the essence of the museum's innovative approach and its integration into the natural landscape.
